This quartz druzy formed naturally on lace agate from Haunted Ridge, Missouri. Druzy (or druse) refers to the layer of tiny, tightly packed quartz crystals that coat the surface, creating that signature sugary sparkle. The soft champagne and peach tones come from natural iron staining within the crystal structure.

The lace agate base provides stability and subtle banding beneath the crystal layer, giving the piece both texture and depth. Each crystal pocket formed over time as mineral-rich solutions slowly deposited quartz into open spaces in the host rock — a beautiful example of natural geological artistry.
